This page shows how some of the basic HTML formatting tags work.

This is an example of centered text.

Making words bold or italic is easy once you know the tags.

It's a good idea to end each major section with a horizontal rule:

A paragraph break adds an extra line space,

like this.

A line break
does not.

This is how you make a bulleted list:

Creating a numbered list is as easy as

  1. One,
  2. two,
  3. three!

Be sure to turn off "smart quotes." If you want “curly” quotation marks, use the codes for them.
