  • FredsHouse -- This site is dedicated to the idea that "fun and learning are best when taken together." It has some fun puzzles as well as links to other educational sites.

  • Color Me Fun! -- If you have Windows 95, you can download a demo for this computerized coloring/activity book. Each page has narration, music, and sound effects. Your finished pictures can be displayed in a story-telling slide show.

  • Nickelodeon -- Entertainment and games, just for kids! Contains activities related to some of your favorite shows on the Nickelodeon channel

  • Vocabulary.com -- Lots of word puzzles designed to boost your vocabulary are available at this site. Earn your diploma at "Vocab. U."!

  • Education by Design: Kids' Activities -- This educational software company has some creative games for kids (ages 5 to 12) posted on the Web. There are math games, Scramblers (sort of like jigsaw puzzles), and a place to publish your own stories, jokes, and poems online.

  • ThinkQuest -- An annual contest that challenges students (ages 12 to 19) to use the Internet as a collaborative, interactive teaching and learning tool
